What is a "buyer's agent"?

Most people don't know that when they are looking for a home, they drive by a house, see a sign, and call the number on that sign. The home buyer is most likely now calling an agent or company who is working for the SELLER! That seller has hired an agent, and is paying that agent to find a buyer for their home. If you call me and hire me as your, "Buyer's agent", I will now be working for only YOU! Everything we discuss is totally confidential and private. In this current "buyer's market" I have been loving helping buyers find the perfect homes and saving them thousands of dollars doing that! For me as a buyer's agent, the challenge is always negotiating to get the home for the lowest price I can! I am a very competitive person sometimes, and being hired as a "buyer's agent" tickles that competitive nature in me, (prrrrrrrrrrrrr)! The best part of using a "buyer's agent"? The SELLER is the person paying the "buyer's agent" commission! That makes sense if you think about it. I am a Realtor with a client interested in buying their home. That has a big value to the seller and they are usually willing to pay my commission!
